The present paper deals with the territory encompassing three historicalgeographical parts of Georgia – Imereti, Guria and Racha-Lechkhumi.
According to the operative division of the country intothe regions, Imereti and Guria have regional statuses. While, Racha-Lechkhumi shares the
status with Kvemo (Lower) Svaneti.
